Onaizah College of Nursing Conducts Awareness Session on Leukemia Awareness Month

The Student Activities Unit at Onaizah College of Nursing, in collaboration with the College Clinic, conducted an awareness session entitled “Leukemia Awareness Month” on Monday, September 14, 2026, in Onaizah College of Nursing lobby. The session targeted the College’s students and staff.

The session introduced leukemia and highlighted its major types, including acute and chronic lymphocytic leukemia, as well as acute and chronic myeloid leukemia. It also addressed the key symptoms and signs associated with the disease, including fatigue and weakness, easy bruising or bleeding, fever, pale skin, frequent infections, and bone and joint pain.

The session was held as part of Onaizah College of Nursing’s efforts to promote health awareness and disseminate medical knowledge, provide information related to leukemia, and enhance awareness of its most common symptoms and the importance of recognizing them.
