The Laboratory of Psychology
The importance of the Psychology Laboratory lies in developing an understanding of human behavior, mental processes, growth, and personality disorders, training students in the scientific method of studying psychology, and highlighting the laboratory's role in scientific research and community service.
The laboratory was also established to provide services related to psychological and educational measurement and assessment for students in the Department of Psychology and specialists in the psychological field.
The laboratory provides students with a practical environment to apply the theoretical concepts they study in psychology and connect them with practical applications. Through laboratory experiments, they can understand how to conduct psychological research and evaluate its results.
The Department of Psychology seeks to provide psychological scales to measure quality of life and other psychological variables associated with it or affecting it positively or negatively, in accordance with the best, most rigorous, and most advanced measurement theories, through the specialization in Measurement and Evaluation. It also studies these variables and provides counseling and therapeutic programs related to them through the Psychology specialization. Furthermore, it aims to achieve quality in learning and teaching among students at Unaizah Colleges by studying learning issues, theories, and patterns, as well as the factors that influence learning, including intelligence, thinking, mental processes, and learning and memorization strategies, etc.
This laboratory was established at the College of Humanities and Administrative Studies during the 1446 AH/2025 AD academic year, with the following objectives:

First: To train undergraduate students in the colleges who study in the Department of Psychology in scientific laboratory experimentation and its applications in psychology by conducting experiments on various psychological phenomena and others.

Second: To train students at various academic levels in the college in test design, particularly educational and achievement tests.

Third: To train students in administering psychological tests, particularly tests of intelligence, mental abilities, skills, achievement, personality traits, interests, and attitudes.

Fourth: To conduct experimental research in various fields of psychology and standardize psychological tests.
The laboratory also houses numerous modern devices, tools, and technologies dedicated to studying human behavior, learning, and perception from various perspectives. It also contains a wide range of tests, as follows:

Experimental Studies Laboratory in Educational Psychology:It includes modern devices, tools, and technologies dedicated to studying human behavior, learning, and perception, as well as the equipment required to study phenomena related to reaction time, attention, learning, perception, thinking, and problem-solving behavior. It also contains models of human body systems, such as the muscular, circulatory, and endocrine systems, as well as the sensory organs. The laboratory includes various devices, tools, and materials required to study human heredity, body chemistry, and other related subjects.

Psychological Testing Laboratory:It contains psychological and educational measurement tools and is equipped with samples of intelligence tests, mental ability tests, motor skills tests, personality tests, interest inventories, attitude scales, value scales, and others.

Neuropsychology Laboratory:It contains numerous devices, tools, technologies, and models dedicated to studying the nervous system.

Permanent Exhibition of Physiological and Experimental Psychology Equipment:It houses numerous devices that were used in the unit to study behavior, perception, the senses, retention, and recall.
