Responsibilities

Blackboard System Administration
  • Develop the operational plan for the E-Learning Unit.
  • Administer the Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS) and ensure its functionality, stability, and the proper operation of its tools.
  • Integrate Blackboard with the Student Information System (SIS) and verify the successful synchronization of faculty members, students, courses, faculty course assignments, and student enrollments.
  • Integrate and test third-party tools with Blackboard to ensure proper functionality.
  • Configure the system interface and update its design when required.
  • Develop database queries to retrieve specific information from Blackboard databases.
  • Prepare outgoing correspondence related to the Unit and respond to incoming correspondence concerning the Blackboard system.
  • Generate and analyze various system reports.
  • Submit technical support tickets to Blackboard when system-related issues arise.
  • Merge course sections as required.
  • Assign course coordinators and supervisors to monitor the teaching and learning process.
  • Add assistant instructors when necessary.
  • Provide student support and respond to student inquiries.
  • Ensure Blackboard is updated and validate updates in both the production and testing environments.
  • Contribute to the continuous development of the E-Learning and Distance Education Unit.
  • Prepare weekly reports on Blackboard usage and faculty engagement within courses.
  • Generate detailed reports for individual faculty members.
  • Provide faculty support and respond to their inquiries.
  • Deliver Blackboard training sessions as needed.
  • Supervise electronic examinations.
  • Obtain and maintain institutional e-learning accreditation/licensure, monitor its requirements and updates, and oversee renewal procedures.
  • Supervise the development and design of electronic courses, including faculty-developed courses and newly created instructional content.
  • Prepare semester and annual final reports for the E-Learning Unit in accordance with consultants' directives.
Blackboard Training
  • Develop semester-based training plans for faculty members and students.
  • Prepare Blackboard user guides for faculty members and students.
  • Develop detailed instructional guides for electronic course components within Blackboard for faculty members and students.
  • Coordinate, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Train faculty members and students on the use of electronic assessment tools.
  • Develop and deliver emergency training programs to address emerging challenges and issues encountered by faculty members and students.
  • Contribute to proposing mechanisms for improving electronic courses.
  • Design and implement training initiatives and competitive programs that promote the effective integration of e-learning into teaching.
  • Develop and disseminate a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) guide through the Blackboard system and institutional communication channels.
  • Coordinate with various college departments to facilitate e-learning and distance education.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide technological solutions that support e-learning and distance education.
Digital Design for Reports and Educational Content
  • Design reports for measuring and monitoring the teaching and learning process.
  • Design weekly, semester, and annual Blackboard reports.
  • Design and develop web pages related to e-learning.
  • Design various user guides for faculty members and students.
  • Produce instructional videos supporting user guides for faculty members and students.
  • Design digital resources for technical support.
  • Design instructional infographics and guidance materials.
  • Design educational content in accordance with established standards, where applicable.
  • Design statistical visualizations to facilitate data presentation.
  • Continuously enhance the quality of professional design outputs.
  • Develop electronic course content.
  • Record and edit lectures for electronic courses.
  • Provide support to faculty members in developing digital educational content.
  • Assist course instructors in transforming instructional materials into engaging and interactive digital learning resources.
  • Produce instructional graphics, concept maps, and animations that support course learning outcomes.
  • Establish and manage a digital learning repository, and oversee its continuous development with instructional units and educational resources.
  • Create and update high-quality design materials as required.
  • Provide training and guidance on graphic design to team members and institutional staff when needed.
Technical Support
  • Provide technical support to faculty members and students through the support channels available within the system.
  • Communicate technical support instructions and guidance to faculty members and students through Blackboard.
  • Prepare weekly reports on institutional performance and faculty engagement within Blackboard, including technical support statistics.
  • Develop and publish beneficiary satisfaction surveys for faculty members and students through the system.
  • Recommend training programs to the Training Unit based on survey findings and performance reports for faculty members and students.
  • Develop and disseminate a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) guide through Blackboard and institutional communication channels.
  • Archive all activities and documentation of the E-Learning and Distance Education Unit, including evidence of operational plan achievements.
  • Receive, inventory, and maintain records of all Unit assets, reports, and related documentation.
  • Develop and continuously update a database of Unit assets, reports, and other official records.
