The Board of Trustees is formed by a decision of His Excellency the Minister of Education, and among the competences of the Board of Trustees is to consider matters related to the college, whether educational, financial, administrative, research, or community service.

Functions and Powers of the Board of Trustees

• Approving the internal regulations of the college, and a decision is issued by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

• Developing the executive conditions and procedures for students’ admission, the procedures for their academic career, their dismissal, re-enrolment, and graduation, and the academic advising system, taking into account the study and examination regulations for the undergraduate level.

• Determining admission numbers and dates for each semester within the capacity limits.

• Approving the annual estimated budget three months before the beginning of the college's fiscal year.

• Approving the curricula, textbooks, and references in the departments of the college before a semester of teaching them.

• Determine the tuition fees and fees for other educational services carried out by the college.

• Granting scientific certificates based on the proposal of the College Council, provided that this does not exceed the semester following the completion of the degree requirements.

• Deciding on the appointment, secondment, and delegation of faculty members and the like, based on the recommendation of the department and college councils.

• Recommending the promotion of faculty members and submitting it to the Scientific Council at the Saudi University that is agreed upon between the Ministry and the College. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees issues the promotion decision based on the recommendation of the Scientific Council.

• Discuss the annual financial report of the legal auditor of the college before the end of the fourth month of the following year.

• Approval of scholarships for teaching assistants and lecturers, and those who are sent with a scholarship from inside or outside the college, provided that the scholarship recipient is accredited by the Ministry.

• Approval of scholarships granted by the college to its male or female students, or those offered to students from outside the college.

• Approving the appointment of department heads.

• Deciding on the appointment and promotion of administrators and the cancellation of their contracts.

• Approval of the annual report that includes the activity of the college in terms of admission and study systems, faculty members and the like, the number of students in each major and level according to the date of their admission, the number of graduates, the financial situation of the college, the difficulties and obstacles facing the college, and ways to address them. Deciding on the student courses that fall within his specialization based on what is referred to him by the College Council.

• Approval of research programs and expansion programs in scientific research in accordance with the college budget.
